Brown Votes to Safeguard the Financial Futures of American Workers and Families

Brown, Baldwin & Spratt Introduce Medically Fragile Children's Act
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Henry E. Brown, Jr. (R-SC) joined Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and John Spratt (D-SC) in introducing legislation that will provide states with a new tool to care for children who live with the most intensive health care needs. Based on the pioneering model of care on display at the Medically Fragile Children’s Program at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), the program will provide states with the ability to coordinate care for children with chronic illnesses and disabilities under the Medicaid program. The Brown/Baldwin/Spratt legislation will allow states to tailor programs to meet the needs of their most medically complex children. According to Brown:
