Brown Joins Other Conservative Members to Call on Administration
to End Gag Order on Medicare Advantage Cuts

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Henry E. Brown, Jr. (R-SC) joined 46 members of the Republican Study Committee in sending a letter to Charlene Frizzera, Acting Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, calling on CMS to end the gag order imposed on Medicare Advantage providers. Despite continuing to allow some providers to advocate for Democrats’ proposed health plan, these providers have been ordered to discontinue communication with patients regarding the cuts to their Medicare benefits that are being proposed by the Democrats’ health care plan. The information provided to patients was accurate.
